Official GIS-Based Master Plan & Government Schemes

Official platforms and methods to digitally access GIS-based information regarding the localized development projects, approved Master Plans, and other government schemes of Koppam Gramapanchayat are detailed below:

1. Decentralized Planning Maps (Sulekha & IKM)

The mapping of annual projects, schemes, and infrastructure developments implemented by Koppam Panchayat under the Local Self-Government Department (LSGD) is integrated through the Information Kerala Mission (IKM).

  • Sulekha Portal: The approved annual project details of the panchayat and their location-based progress can be monitored through this portal.
  • ILGMS & GIS Mapping: Currently, GIS-based survey data for digitally tracking roads, streetlights, and public institutions in local bodies is being linked with these systems.

2. Department of Town and Country Planning

Maps of Master Plans and Spatial Development Plans prepared for the Koppam area by the Palakkad District Town Planning (DTP) office are available here:

  • LSGD Planning Portal: Master Plans and Zoning Maps of local self-governments in Kerala are published on this portal for the public. Strategic land-use maps of the Pattambi region, which includes Koppam, are accessible here.

3. AMRUT / Urban Development GIS Schemes

Master Plan information for large-scale schemes associated with urban areas bordering Koppam Gramapanchayat or major development corridors (such as the Bharathapuzha Basin Development) is often made available on the central-state joint Bhuvan Geo-Portal under the "Design & Formulation of GIS-based Master Plan" section.

4. R-Track & Road Mapping Information

GIS-based data maintained for accurately recording the assets (Asset Management) of roads under the Local Self-Government Department:

  • LSGD Kerala Portal: The road networks at the village/ward level in Koppam Panchayat, including both verified and unverified connectivity maps, are maintained in this asset register with precise GIS coordinates.

5. Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP) Maps

Maps prepared for water conservation and agriculture-based master planning suited to the specific topography of the panchayat:

  • SLNA Kerala Portal: Accurate GIS layers demarcated by the micro-watershed boundaries of Koppam can be downloaded through this portal.

 Technical Note: To acquire the official Shapefiles (.shp) or GeoJSON files of these master plans and schemes for official purposes, you can source them via the Koppam Panchayat Assistant Engineer's (AE) official login or by contacting the Palakkad District System Administrator (IKM).
